A Significant Deviations in Tip Pilot Gas Pressure Valve- CASE STUDY

EVENT REPORTED by SAM GUARD®

SAM GUARD®  detected a Significant deviations in TIP PILOT GAS pressure valve at the entrance to the torch. The valve is closed to 30% instead of 20% with no change in SP and no significant impact on the present value.

MAINTENANCE TEAM FINDINGS

The plant team wasn’t aware of that abnormal event. It was found out that the controller was dirty and presented wrong values. Due to SAM GUARD® alert the device was cleaned and the values ​​returned to a normal.

COST / DOWNTIME AVOIDED

This part is related to the torch. A malfunction device that is not found on time may constitute an event in terms of environmental issue.
